The Administration Department is the primary department responsible for administering and coordinating the policies set forth by the City Council.

Through the City Manager, the Administration Department plans, organizes and directs the work of other city departments and coordinates the general activities of the city government with other governmental entities.

The Assistant City Manager is a technical and specialized position working directly for the City Manager and is assigned complex projects in a wide-variety of municipal subjects, including water resources and computer networking.
